Pakistan’s President Felicitates Nation, Muslim Ummah on Eidul Fitr

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari has extended heartfelt Eidul Fitr greetings to the Pakistani nation and the Muslim Ummah, urging compassion, generosity, and solidarity with the less fortunate on this joyous occasion.

In a message, President Zardari conveyed his sincere wishes for immense blessings, happiness, peace, and security to everyone celebrating Eidul Fitr. He expressed gratitude to Allah Almighty for bestowing blessings and happiness during the sacred month of Ramadan, marked by fasting, prayers, and acts of charity.

Highlighting the significance of Eidul Fitr, President Zardari emphasized the importance of sharing happiness with others and extending generosity towards the marginalized segments of society. He urged fellow citizens to assist the needy, poor, orphans, and destitute, underscoring the spirit of compassion and solidarity.

President Zardari underscored that Eidul Fitr symbolizes the nation’s determination to overcome challenges, extend support to the needy, and work towards a bright and prosperous future for all. He stressed the importance of unity, tolerance, social and economic justice, and mutual solidarity in fostering a united and strong nation.

Expressing solidarity with the oppressed Muslims in Gaza and Palestine, President Zardari urged the international community to ensure immediate peace in Gaza and provide assistance to the Palestinians facing oppression and violence from Israel.

“On behalf of the Pakistan nation, I want to give the message to the oppressed Muslims of Gaza and Palestine that the whole Pakistani nation express solidarity with you,” President Zardari said. He said, “We impress upon the international community to ensure immediate peace in Gaza and provision of assistance to the Palestinians. The oppression, barbarity and genocide by Israel is the gravest violation of human rights.”

Furthermore, President Zardari called attention to the plight of the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering support for their just cause. The President said, “On this occasion of happiness, we should also not forget the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.”

President Zardari assured that the whole Pakistani nation stood with their Kashmiri brothers and sisters. He pledged Pakistan’s continued moral, diplomatic, and political support to Kashmiris for the resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with United Nations resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

President Zardari prayed for the welfare and prosperity of every Pakistani and the entire Muslim Ummah, invoking Allah Almighty’s blessings for unity, peace, and prosperity.

The President said, “On the occasion of this blessed day, I pray for the welfare and prosperity of every Pakistani and the whole Muslim Ummah. May Allah Almighty shower His blessings on our nation and keep us on the path of righteousness and bless us with unity, peace and prosperity. Ameen!”
