Pakistan’s Security Forces Kill Seven Terrorists in Northwest Pakistan: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Seven terrorists were killed in an intelligence-based operation conducted by Pakistan’s security forces in the Tank district of northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release.

According to ISPR, the security forces raided terrorists’ hideouts in the Kiri Machan Khel area of the Tank district on the night of November 14/15. The operation resulted in an intense exchange of gunfire between the security forces and the terrorists. During the intense exchange of gunfire, seven terrorists were neutralized, ISPR said.

The statement read that security forces also busted hideouts used by the terrorists during the operation against terrorists.

The ISPR further said that weapons and ammunition were seized from the killed terrorists, who remained actively involved in various terrorist activities, including recent target killings of police personnel in Tank and its surrounding areas.

As part of ongoing efforts to ensure the complete eradication of any lingering terrorist threats, a sanitization operation is currently underway in the area. Local residents have applauded the security forces for their swift action and have expressed full support to the security forces in eliminating the menace of terrorism from the region.
