RAMALLAH: The Palestinian presidency has stated that it is currently focusing on stopping the barbaric Israeli aggression against the people of Palestine across the occupied territories, Western media reported on Monday.

Palestinian presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh in a statement said the whole world is witnessing the brutal massacres carried out by the Israeli occupation army in the Gaza Strip by targeting women, children, the elderly, hospitals and places of worship.

Abu Rudeineh said that Benjamin Netanyahu’s statements since the start of the conflict in Gaza prove that this government seeks to occupy all the Palestinian territories.

Recognizing rights of Palestinian people only way to achieve peace

He reaffirmed the Palestinian presidency’s position that the only way to achieve peace and security is to recognize the rights of the Palestinian people according to the international law and to end the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian land.

Since the start of Israel’s bombardment of Gaza on October 7, the conflict has resulted in massive casualties. According to Palestinian authorities at least 13,000 Palestinians have been killed, including over 9,000 women and children, with more than 30,000 others sustaining injuries.

The relentless air and ground attacks have also caused extensive damage to buildings, including hospitals, mosques, and churches.

The dire situation in Gaza is compounded by an Israeli blockade, severing the region from essential supplies such as fuel, electricity, and water. Aid deliveries to Gaza have reached to a minimum.
