RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Monday busted a group of drug dealers during a successful operation and took eight people into custody.

According to the spokesman of ANF, the coordinated raids took place across three major cities, leading to the arrest of the suspected drug dealer group. The individuals were purportedly engaged in the sale of CBD oil-laced vapes via online platforms.

The arrests targeted an inter-provincial drug distribution network facilitating the sale of vapes containing hashish oil, CBD oil, THC oil, as well as cigarette rolls derived from the hemp plant. Additionally, authorities seized opium, and other illicit substances during the operation.

Under the guise of selling herbal remedies and natural products, the accusers were engaged in unlawful activity. According to the spokesperson, drugs were being supplied through e-commerce sites. They allegedly imported restricted items from foreign countries through cargo companies.

The spokesperson asked parents to discourage vaping among teenagers. Additionally, he urged people to closely monitor their kids’ usage of internet marketplaces and promptly report any suspicious activity to the authorities. —APP
