PARIS: As Paris Fashion Week menswear shows conclude, the spotlight remains on the diverse runway presentations that blended quiet luxury with bold statements. Over 40 runway shows unfolded over the past few days, with several designers and fashion houses leaving a lasting impression.

The prevailing trend of quiet luxury, characterized by classic tailoring and timeless garments, continued to dominate the high-end fashion scene. Culted pointed to AMI as a leading example, emphasizing the rejection of trend cycles in favor of expertly tailored suits and trench coats in autumnal tones. Online fashion firm Hypebeast highlighted Hermes as the epitome of quiet luxury, noting its long leather coats and heavy knitwear in a somber palette.

Dior’s presentation, dedicated to Rudolf Nureyev, showcased haute couture interpretations of kaftans, turbans, and stage costumes associated with the ballet legend. Balmain’s return to menswear after several years was a vibrant celebration of African style, featuring bold colors, innovative shapes, and luxurious facial jewelry, culminating in a surprise appearance by supermodel Naomi Campbell.

Celebrities Participation in Paris Fashion Week

Rick Owens, known for his gothic aesthetic, presented a show at his Paris atelier that featured his signature shock factor. Alongside stilts, pagoda-like shoulders, and dilated black pupils, Owens introduced oversized rubber boots, described by the designer as “grotesque and inhuman” in their proportions.

Celebrity presence remained a significant aspect of Paris Fashion Week, with sporting tie-ups playing a growing role. KidSuper featured Brazilian footballer Ronaldinho on the catwalk, while Loewe’s front row included actors Jamie Dornan and Nicholas Hoult, along with popstar Zayn Malik.

Louis Vuitton, with creative director Pharrell Williams, attracted A-listers Bradley Cooper and rapper Playboi Carti, while Yohji Yamamoto’s show featured cult director Wim Wenders and “Walking Dead” star Norman Reedus, with football legend Zinedine Zidane in the front row.
