LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has proposed Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi as the venues for the 2025 Champions Trophy, recently submitting the initial draft schedule to the ICC. The event will be held in February, and it marks Pakistan’s hosting of an ICC event after nearly three decades.

Pakistan, the defending champions from 2017, secured hosting rights for the 2025 edition amidst the new rights cycle. The tournament, expected to span two weeks, awaits finalization of dates following venue and schedule confirmation by an ICC team.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi expressed confidence in hosting a successful tournament, emphasizing ongoing coordination with the ICC for ideal arrangements.

Naqvi outlined plans for stadium improvements, aiming for swift execution despite time constraints. Amidst the bustling home season, including engagements with South Africa and New Zealand, scheduling the Champions Trophy poses logistical details, including potential clashes with other leagues and events. Nevertheless, the PCB remains resolute in its efforts to deliver a memorable tournament while addressing operational hurdles.
