LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday decided to further facilitate and empower the National Cricket Selection Committee with full authority so the committee should have better selection on merits for the upcoming events.
According to electronic media reports, the PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi has directed the relevant authorities for granting complete authority to the Selection Committee. He also stressed upon his commitment to refrain from interfering in matters related to the selection committee.
According to reports after the provision of full powers, the selection committee would be responsible for the selection of the national team and the captain, and would also be accountable for their decisions later on.
PCB on Other Appointments
According to sources, decisions regarding some important appointments and selections, including Chief Selector Wahab Riaz, will be processed in the ongoing week. The Board would also come up with a final decision regarding appointing foreign coaches for the national cricket team in the coming days.
