PCB Wants to Appoint Women Cricket Coach Ahead of Australia Tour

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) intends to hire the services of a women’s team coach before visiting Australia next year, 2023.

Board has advertised the job of head coach for the national women’s cricket team. Pakistan women’s team will also take part in the ICC T20 Women’s World Cup after the bilateral series against Australia. The T20 Women’s World Cup 2022 will be held in South Africa from February 10.

It is pertinent to mention here PCB has not appointed a head coach since the end of David Hamp’s tenure. Former fast bowler Saleem Jaffer is currently performing the duties of the head coach although formally not appointed.

The Pakistan Women’s team was recently defeated by Ireland 1-2 in the home T20 series.
