PESHAWAR: A two-member bench of the Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Wednesday heard a petition submitted by Aimal Wali Khan, the provincial president of the Awami National Party (ANP), seeking the disqualification of Imran Khan, the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), from participating in future elections.
The bench comprising Justice Syed Arshad Ali and Justice Abdul Shakur adjourned the proceedings on the request of lawyer of Chairman PTI Chairman Qazi Anwar.
Aimal Wali Khan maintained in the writ petition that Imran Khan, chairman of PTI didn’t disclose his assets and his wife’s Rs seven million jewelry in the by-election nomination papers, which was a violation of Election Act 2017.
He added that Khan also sold Tosha Khana gifts illegally and he sought disqualification of the chairman of PTI for the future elections. —APP
