PM Shehbaz Chairs High Level Meeting Over Law and Order

ISLAMABAD:  An emergency meeting on security situation presided by Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is underway in Islamabad, local media reported on Wednesday. The meeting is being attended by Federal Ministers, top officials and heads of law enforcing agencies. The local media reported that the meeting is being held after terrorist attack in Bisham area of Shangla district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) condemned the Besham terrorist attack that claimed six lives including five Chinese citizens, saying a “conscious effort” is being made to sow discord between Pakistan and strategic allies and partners, most notably China.

Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the terrorist attack.  Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited the Chinese embassy to convey condolence over the killing of five Chinese citizens in Bisham attack and assured a swift and high-level investigation into the incident.
