PM Shehbaz Sharif Engages in High-Level Meetings at World Economic Forum

RIYADH: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif is set for a packed schedule on Sunday as he attends the special meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in a bid to address critical global issues. According to a statement from the PM Office Media Wing, Sharif will participate in a session focused on the global health agenda, where he will share his insights and perspectives.

In addition to his participation in the WEF session, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is slated to hold a series of bilateral meetings with key dignitaries on the sidelines of the event. Among these engagements, Sharif will meet with Emir of Kuwait, Mashal Al Ahmed Al Jabr, aiming to strengthen diplomatic ties and discuss mutual areas of interest.

Furthermore, the prime minister’s itinerary includes meetings with Saudi Ministers of Finance, Industry, and Investment, highlighting the importance of economic cooperation and collaboration between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Additionally, Sharif is scheduled to hold discussions with prominent figures including the Co-Chairman of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, and the President of the Islamic Development Bank, focusing on avenues for partnership and development initiatives.

Taking to social media platform X, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his anticipation for the WEF special meeting, emphasizing the significance of engaging in substantive discussions to address the prevailing challenges of the contemporary era. Sharif’s active participation underscores Pakistan’s commitment to contributing to global dialogue and fostering meaningful partnerships for collective progress and prosperity.
