Weather Update: PMD Predicts Cold, Dry Weather in Most Parts of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The majority of the country will experience predominantly cold and dry weather over the next 12 hours, with notably frigid conditions expected in the northern regions and northern Balochistan.

Expect lingering dense fog and smog across the plains of Punjab, while similar fog and smog might develop in the plains of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and upper Sindh during the night and early morning hours.

In the morning, anticipate possible frost in select areas of the Pothohar region and Kashmir.

This morning’s temperatures in major cities were as follows: Islamabad at five degrees Celsius, Lahore at ten, Karachi at seventeen, Peshawar at seven, Gilgit at minus three, Murree at six, and Muzaffarabad at four degrees Celsius.

As for the forecast in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir region, brace for very cold and partly cloudy conditions in Srinagar and Leh, with Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula expecting very cold and dry weather, while Jammu will experience cold and dry conditions.

Recorded temperatures this morning were as follows: Srinagar, Pulwama, and Baramula at zero degrees Celsius, Jammu at ten, Leh at minus six, and Anantnag and Shopian at one degree Celsius.
