PPAF to Equip Female Entrepreneurs with Digital Literacy in Haripur

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), in collaboration with Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), is implementing the Ba-Ikhtiar Project (Digital Hub and Women Strivers) to impart vocational training and digital literacy to female entrepreneurs.

The initiative is aimed at empowering female entrepreneurs in Haripur by equipping them with digital literacy.

PPAF will provide Digital Literacy training to one hundred ambitious women over the next year, helping them boost their marketing skills using digital platforms.

Under the project, Ufone 4G will be providing smartphones along with mobile sim and internet connectivity to help in the digital literacy training process.

While the PPAF’s on-ground project implementing partner National Rural Support Program is responsible for skills and vocational training of the female entrepreneurs through TEVTA, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Life Skills, Financial Literacy Training

Moreover, the project offers life skills and financial literacy training, covering topics like bank accounts, mobile wallets, and opportunities in micro-finance services for boosting the businesses of talented entrepreneurs and fostering their increased income generation.

With a presence in 147 districts of Pakistan through its partnerships with 130 organizations, PPAF started strategic development at grassroots levels, prioritizing communities in the direst conditions first to enable society to move towards a secure future.

The institution’s strategic approach has focused on building and supporting value-based institutions of, for, and by the people that are necessary for giving voice to and empowering them.
