PPP’s Coordination Committee Apprises Bilawal of Talks with Political Parties

ISLAMABAD: The Coordination Committee of the Pakistani People’s Party (PPP) on Thursday shared details with chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari the details held with different political parties.

According to details, PPP’s Coordination Committee apprised the former foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and the chairman of the party about the ongoing development in the context of future strategies after the general election.

The committee members, including Qamar Zaman Kaira, Murad Ali Shah, Sanaullah Zehri, Shuja Khan, Saeed Ghani, Nadeem Afzal Chan, and Bahadur Khan Sehar, discussed the current situation that appeared before the unavailability of the clear majority by any political party and possible coalition set-up.

The committee members also agreed and decided to field Asif Ali Zardari for the slot of the President.

PPP’s Talks with PML-N

According to sources, the Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting also discussed the agreement to form the government with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). The PPP was looking to secure the posts of the President, chairman of the senate, and provincial governors.

During the CEC meeting, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari also condemned attacks on PPP workers and candidates during the election and added that party workers were tortured during the election and the mandate of the arty was snatched.
