Preparations for Livestock, Agri-Fisheries Expo Finalized

PESHAWAR: The groundwork for the global exhibition focusing on livestock, agriculture, and fisheries, slated for the initial week of October 2023, has been completed, according to a press statement on Thursday.

The final presentation on the expo’s preparations was given to Dr. Mohammad Israr, the Secretary of Livestock. This two-day event is set to take place on October 4th and 5th at the Paramount Club, located on the Northern Bypass. The inauguration will be performed by Haji Ghulam Ali, the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The primary objective of this expo is to enlighten farmers about modern farming practices and encourage them to transition towards more profitable agricultural endeavors by enhancing their production methods.

In addition to the participation of Vice Chancellors from all Agricultural Universities, provincial ministers, and government secretaries, a multitude of dairy, agriculture, and fishery farmers are expected to grace the inaugural session of the exhibition.

During the event, Secretary Livestock, Dr. Israr, emphasized the full cooperation of the provincial government in ensuring the expo’s success.

He revealed that approximately 60 national and international firms and companies will participate, showcasing their state-of-the-art technologies. Moreover, an impressive turnout of 10,000 farmers is anticipated.

Dr. Israr also stated that the technical session will introduce modern machinery and technology to the participants, further advancing the knowledge and practices in the agricultural and fisheries sectors. —APP
