President for Increasing Economic and Cultural Ties with Bulgaria

ISLAMABAD: President Dr. Arif Alvi has advocated for a substantial boost in economic, trade, and cultural ties between Pakistan and Bulgaria, emphasizing the significant value placed on their bilateral relations.

During a meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador to Bulgaria, Modasar Chaudhry, at Aiwan-e-Sadr, President Alvi stressed the need for proactive measures to enhance cooperation across various domains of mutual interest.

The President specifically highlighted the importance of fostering collaboration through the exchange of political and business delegations between the two nations. This approach is seen as a critical step in further strengthening bilateral ties.

President Alvi directed Ambassador Chaudhry to concentrate on establishing institutional linkages between the chambers of commerce in Pakistan and Bulgaria, aiming to fortify economic relations.

In addition to economic collaboration, President Alvi underscored the significance of strengthening ties in the education sector. He encouraged the development of collaborations between Pakistani and Bulgarian universities, advocating for exchanges of faculty and students to promote a deeper understanding and partnership in the academic realm.

President Alvi congratulated Ambassador Modasar Chaudhary on his appointment, expressing his best wishes for the diplomat’s future responsibilities in Bulgaria. The meeting signifies Pakistan’s commitment to elevating diplomatic relations and fostering comprehensive cooperation with Bulgaria, not only in economic and trade aspects but also in cultural and educational exchanges.
