Pro-Palestinian Protest Held Outside Restaurant Where Trudeau Dined

VANCOUVER:  A Pro-Palestinian protest was held outside a restaurant in Canada, where Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was dinning.

Western media reported on Wednesday that the police confronted the protestors and dispersed the crowd, while escorting the Prime Minister out of the restaurant.

About 100 police were called in to tackle the 250 pro-Palestinian protesters, who encircled a Vancouver restaurant, where Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was having dinner.

Protesters were demanding Trudeau to push for a cease-fire in the war between Israel and Hamas.  Vancouver police in a statement said that nearly 100 officers were deployed to disperse a protest outside a Chinatown restaurant.

According to police a 27-year-old man was apprehended for punching violating the law. Police spokesman Mohammad Hussain said the Prime Minister was approached by demonstrators in Vancouver.

Earlier Trudeau said the killing of women, children, babies in Gaza must be stopped. According to Gaza health ministry, the death toll from Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip since October 7 has swelled to 11,500, including 4,710 children and 3,160 women.

Thousands of buildings, including hospitals, mosques and churches, have been destroyed in the Israeli strikes in Gaza.
