Promoting Tourism with Mangoes

CAIRO: The 2nd Ismailia Mango Festival has started in the northeastern Egyptian governorate to attract a number of visitors and tourists, Arab media reported on Saturday.  The opening of the free festival also attracted tourists from across the world. Arab News reported that diplomats, politicians, merchants, firms, and exporters also attended the event in Egypt. The mango festival was arranged in coordination with Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism.

Promoting Tourism with Mangoes

Amr El-Kady, Chief Executive Office of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion said that the ministry’s role in the mango festival aligned with its media approach, which aims to underscore the diversity of Egypt’s tourism industry and also showcase Egypt as a great tourist destination.

Iman Abdel Rahman, DG of the General Department of Tourism Awareness said that a trip has also been arranged for Egyptian social-media influencers to “maximize the event’s promotional effect.”

The social media influencers visited archaeological and tourism sites and several mango farms around Ismailia. One of the visitors’ said that the mangos are greater and more delicious and tourists come here to buy from themselves.
