ISLAMABAD: Continued rain and a wet outfield resulted in the cancellation of two matches of the PSL (Pakistan Super League) 9th edition in Rawalpindi on Saturday. The match between Peshawar Zalmi and Lahore Qalandar and that of Quetta Gladiator and Islamabad United were scheduled on Saturday at Rawalpindi.

However, the continued rain and wet outfield made it impossible to bowl a single delivery on the day. Earlier rain started in Rawalpindi in the morning and persisted till evening to dim the possibility of the second contest as well. Due to continuous rain, the ground is inundated with water, extending to areas near the boundary rope.
