PSX Continues Bullish Flow, Gains 380 Points

ISLAMABAD: After gaining about 373 points yesterday, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) 100-index continued its bullish trend on Tuesday, adding 380.63 points with a positive change of 0.58 percent. The index closed at 65,906.28 points compared to 65,525.65 points the previous trading day.

On Tuesday, 303,710,027 shares valued at Rs. 12.078 billion were traded, compared to 261,194,334 shares valued at Rs. 8.945 billion the previous day.

A total of 333 companies traded their shares, with 171 recording gains and 143 experiencing losses, while the share prices of 19 remained unchanged.

Pakistan International Airlines Corporation (P.I.A.C) led the top-three trading companies with 30,297,500 shares at Rs. 25.39 per share, followed by Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (P.T.C.L) with 28,146,003 shares at Rs. 16.10 per share, and National Bank XD with 21,033,972 shares at Rs. 40.56 per share.

Rafhan Maize Products Company Limited saw the highest increase in share price, rising by Rs. 89.89 per share to close at Rs. 8,290.00, followed by Sapphire Fiber Limited with a rise of Rs. 87.50 per share to Rs. 1,582.50.

Bata Pakistan Limited experienced the largest decline, dropping by Rs. 37.17 per share to close at Rs. 1,680.00, followed by Philip Morris (Pakistan) Limited, which fell by Rs. 25.00 per share to settle at Rs. 710.00.
