PSX Gains 87.38 Points Amid Bullish Trend

ISLAMABAD: After a slight bearish trend last day, the 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) turned around into a bullish trend on Wednesday while gaining 87.38 points with a positive change of 0.19 percent. At the close of the day, the index settled at 46,365.04 points as compared to 46,277.66 points last day.

On Wednesday, 177,497,178 shares valuing Rs.6.928 billion were transacted against 259,046,624 shares valuing Rs. 6.688 billion on Tuesday.

Bullish Trend at PSX

In Total 325 companies traded their shares in the stock market, 172 of them witnessed gains, and 124 experienced losses, whereas the share price of 29 companies remained unchanged.

Maple Leaf remained as the leader among the top-three trading companies with 11,085,943 shares at Rs.30.18 per share followed by Pak Petroleum with 9,115,995 shares at Rs.74.47 per share and WorldCall Telecom settled as number three with 7,096,855 shares at Rs.1.14 per share.

Unilever Foods remained in the green zone with a maximum appreciation of Rs.450.00 per share price to settle Rs.20,550.00, whereas Pak Hotels settled as the runner-up with an appreciation of Rs.15.45 in its per share price to Rs.251.99.

Unlike the last day, Nestle Pakistan remained in the red zone with a maximum decline of Rs.47.21 per share closing at Rs7,142.79, followed by Pak Services with a decrease of Rs.29.85 per share to settle at Rs.701.15.
