ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has urged authorities to conduct a medical examination of Bushra Bibi, the wife of imprisoned PTI founder Imran Khan, at Shaukat Khanum Hospital.

This demand follows the release of a medical report by the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) two days prior, which found no evidence of any toxic substance administered to Bushra Bibi at Bani Gala sub-jail.

The report, conducted by four senior doctors, highlighted Bushra Bibi’s abnormal appetite and ongoing stomach pain.

Imran Khan’s personal physician, Dr. Asim Yousuf, also examined Bushra Bibi and found no signs of poisoning. However, he also recommended tests for Bushra Bibi.

In a statement today, PTI leader Barrister Gohar Ali Khan emphasized the acceptance of medical reports issued by a personal physician and advocated for an examination conducted at Shaukat Khanum Hospital.

Earlier, during a hearing of the £190 million settlement case at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, Imran Khan alleged that his wife had been poisoned at the Bani Gala sub-jail, citing marks on her skin and tongue as evidence. He urged the court to order a medical examination for Bushra Bibi.
