PTI Leaders Demand Early Election to Address Pakistan’s Economic Issues

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders on Saturday demanded of the federal government to announce early general elections in the country. They justified their demand as legal and said that country is suffering from economic and political crises.

While addressing a massive rally of PTI in Rawalpindi, the party leaders said that the people of Pakistan want to get rid of the incumbent corrupt government.

Fawad Chaudhry Justifies PTI Demand for Early Elections as Legal

Addressing the gathering, Fawad Chaudry said that the demand for an early election is their right and they are here to compel the government to meet the demand. He added that a huge crowd coming to Rawalpindi is not just a mere gathering but a decisive one and they will stay here till they achieve the purpose. He further said that Imran Khan is the only hope of the people of Pakistan who has the ability to take the country out of the crisis.

Sheikh Rasheed Challenges Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif, Asif Ali Zardari

Earlier addressing the rally Pakistan Awami League head and PTI coalition partner in opposition Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad said that they are here not to fight with security agencies but to challenge Nawaz Shairf, Shehbaz Shair, and Asif Zaradi who have looted the country. He added the current government has failed to control price hikes and they should be made accountable for this. Rashid also hinted about possible talks with the government but talks will only be held on condition of an early election in the country. 

PTI leaders Ali Zaidi and others also addressed the rally.

Earlier supporters were coming to Rawalpindi, from Islamabad, Peshawar, and Southern parts of Punjab in huge numbers where reports of roadblocks were also reported in the twin cities and the surrounding roads. Meanwhile, more than 10 thousand security men were deployed in the twin cities, and walk-through gates have been placed at the entry point of the rally.
