LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Friday expressed solidarity with Palestinians on Al-Quds Day.
In her statement on Al-Quds Day, Maryam Nawaz said that the sacrifices made by Palestinians in their struggle for freedom will not be in vain.
Maryam Nawaz condemned the oppressive actions of the Israel forces against Palestinians, stating that such brutality is reprehensible. She underscored the significance of Al-Quds, a day dedicated to showing solidarity with the Palestinian people and their struggle against Israeli occupation, as a sacred place for Muslims worldwide.
Maryam Nawaz urged the international community to intervene promptly to halt the ongoing atrocities committed by Israel.
She called for proactive measures to ensure the implementation of UN Security Council resolutions and agreements.
The Chief Minister said that lasting peace in the world hinges upon the resolution of the Palestinian and Kashmir issues.
