RAWALPINDI: Heavy rain in Rawalpindi halted the fourth T20I match between Pakistan and New Zealand, leaving the players and fans frustrated.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl first against the Kiwis. However, the rain started pouring down heavily, and the umpires had to call off the game. New Zealand was batting at 164/5 in 18.5 overs when the rain interrupted the match.

New Zealand team got off to a good start, reaching 22 without any loss in the first two overs. But Imad Wasim struck gold immediately for Pakistan, dismissing Latham for 13. Chad Bowes (17) and Will Young (31) tried to stabilize the innings, but Faheem Ashraf (1-23) dismissed Bowes in the 14th over, and Haris Rauf (1-34) sent Young back to the pavilion in the 16th over.

Daryl Mitchell (36*) and Mark Chapman (34*) played brilliantly in the last few overs, taking the team’s total to 164/5 in 18.5 overs when the rain came down heavily and forced the players to leave the field.
