Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro Bus Service Suspended

ISLAMABAD: The Metro bus operation on the Islamabad-Rawalpindi track will remain suspended at least for today, according to the officials.
The service has been suspended due to the PTI’s rally in Rawalpindi and may continue to be suspended till end of the PTI’s scheduled protest and rally at the Sixth Road today (November 26). The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) district administration had decided to suspend the bus service in view of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) march. On the other hand, the Rawalpindi district administration has also announced to close Faizabad Bus Terminal from Friday until the end of the PTI’s protest and the rally.
The entry of public transport in Rawalpindi has also been closed in view of safety measures while the security checking of residential hotels and flats in Faizabad has also been carried out. Murree Road towards Rawalpindi has been closed for traffic while traffic from IJP Road and 9th Avenue Junction towards Rawalpindi has also been suspended.
