Rehman Medical Institute Hosts Annual Cardiology Conference

PESHAWAR: The Rehman Medical Institute (RMI) on Saturday hosted annual cardiology conference brining experts in the field for a fruitful exchange of insights and knowledge.

According to a press release, the event, which aimed to improve cardiac care in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), included discussions on important subjects such managing left main disease, the future of cardiovascular therapies, emerging data from 2023, and managing adult congenital heart disease.

Prominent speakers such as Prof. Afsar Raza from London, UK; Dr. Naeem Tahirkheli from Oklahoma Heart, USA; Prof. Zubair Akram from Lahore; and Prof. Maad Ullah Khan from Rawalpindi, among others, shared their expertise in the conference.

Prof. Dr. Miqdad Ali Khan, Head of Department Cardiology at RMI and the conference’s patron, emphasized the significance of such collaborative gatherings, stating, “The knowledge shared during these sessions undoubtedly contributes to our collective growth and innovation in managing cardiovascular diseases.”
