ISLAMABAD: Renowned religious scholars in Pakistan had always condemned banned TTP terrorism and termed it “Haram” which is clearly evident by the fatwa, ” Paigham-e-Pakistan, unanimously endorsed by more than 1800 religious’ scholars in the South Asian country.
The recent fatwa by Afghan Dar-ul-Ifta in August 2023, forbidding Jihad outside Afghanistan, had already exposed TTP’s so-called Jihadi ideology. Today’s statement of Aghan Council General, specifically mentioning that militant attacks in Pakistan are not Jihad as per the Dar-ul-Ifta Fatwa, further cements the fact that Armed struggle in Pakistan is nothing else but terrorism.
Afghan Diplomat Says Attack in “Pakistan is not Jihad”
A top envoy of Afghanistan said on Wednesday that Afghan Taliban administration had already issued a decree that launching attacks in “Pakistan is not jihad”.
The acting consul general at the Afghan Consulate in Peshawar, Hafiz Mohibullah Shakir, told a private news channel that the defense ministry of Afghanistan had also made it clear that attacking Pakistan did not fall under jihad.
Since the Afghan Taliban took power in 2021 in Afghanistan, Pakistan has witnessed a rise in terror attacks, with 2023 being the deadliest in 8 years, with officials saying that Afghan citizens were involved in attacks on security forces.
Pakistan-Afghanistan Ties
Pakistan’s special representative on Afghanistan, Asif Durrani, said that the banned TTP’s attacks on Pakistan along the borders have surged and that they were “taking shelter on the Afghan soil”.
Pakistan’s Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani and his Taliban counterpart, Amir Khan Muttaqi, met on the sidelines of a China-hosted international conference earlier this month.
Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, said that Jilani during the meeting highlighted that challenges confronting regional peace and stability should be addressed in a collaborative spirit through collective efforts.
Now, the Afghan diplomat said that the TTP militants had migrated to Afghanistan during former US-backed Afghan president Ashraf Ghani’s government.
TTP terrorism in Pakistan and its false religious ideology is only ” Fasad fil Ard amply proven through these religious decrees. TTP is a ” Khawariji Fitna,” responsible for the brutal and ruthless terrorist activities against Pakistan. Khawariji terrorists of TTP have no religious justification for waging war against the innocent people of Pakistan.
TTP terrorists stand exposed and can no longer deceive innocent people specially in tribal districts for recruitment and taking part in terrorism in Pakistan; used as pawns by their selfish leaders where they are eliminated by Law Enforcing Agencies (LEAs) while the leaders of TTP enjoy comfortable life in Afghanistan. People of Pakistan has totally rejected the TTP khawariji Fitna and stand with LEAs and fully support country’s LEAs to defeat the khawariji Fitna.
