Ronaldo Says Not Done Yet After 50th Goal in 2023

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia: Cristiano Ronaldo showcased his goal-scoring prowess once again, netting his 50th goal of the year during Al Nassr’s commanding 5-2 victory over rivals Al Shabab in the Saudi King Cup.

The 38-year-old Portuguese, renowned for his illustrious stints with Manchester United and Real Madrid, demonstrated his scoring finesse by striking with his right foot from close range in the 74th minute of the match.

Expressing his delight on Instagram, Ronaldo acknowledged the significant milestone, stating, “Great victory and I’m thrilled to announce my 50th goal in 2023.” He attributed the achievement to the steadfast support of his teammates, fans, and family. The veteran forward also hinted at the potential for additional goals before the year concludes, stating, “There’s still room for a few more this year.”

Ronaldo, who joined Al Nassr at the end of the previous year, has maintained an impressive scoring record, averaging nearly a goal per game. In addition to his contributions at the club level, he has found the net 10 times for Portugal in nine matches during 2023.

The stellar performance propelled Al Nassr into the semi-finals, securing their advancement in the ongoing Saudi King Cup competition held in Riyadh.
