PARIS: Ireland have dismantled Scotland with a display of clinical brilliance to reach the quarter-finals of Rugby World Cup.

A 17th successive win ensures that the world’s number team finish top of Pool B to face Blacks next Saturday on 20:00 BST. Scotland’s defeat hints South African side qualify as runners-up to meet with Pool A winners France.

This was a 17th straight win for Ireland side as the team have seen them all off – New Zealand, the French, the Springboks, England and now the Scotland, trampled harshly underfoot. Ireland were very ruthless as they identified the weakness of Scotland.
