ISLAMABAD: A massive rocket strike on Sunday by Russian forces targeted buildings in eastern Ukraine that were temporarily housing Ukrainian servicemen. Russia’s defense ministry said that the attack killed more than 600 Ukrainian servicemen.
Rocket attack on buildings in response to earlier Ukraine attack
The Russian defense ministry described the strike on Kramatorsk as a revenge attack in response to a recent Ukrainian strike.
The Russian forces that were targeted by Ukraine had been housed in the part of the Donetsk region under Russian control. The barracks targeted were in a lace called Makiivka.
