Russia’s Economic Allies Frustrated at Slow Integration

The leaders of several member states of the Eurasian Economic Union, a Russia-dominated customs union of some ex-Soviet states, complain of slow implementation of the bloc’s trade regime. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan warns that post-Soviet economic integration “cannot go on indefinitely”, while his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev decries a “decade of missed opportunities”.
