ISLAMABAD: Samosas have always been the star attraction of snack platters, be it during celebrations, holidays, or any other occasion.

As step 1, begin by preparing the samosa dough. Mix maida (all-purpose flour) with a pinch of salt, some oil, and powdered ajwain (carom seeds).

The next step to follow, requires the samosa filling with sauté jeera (cumin seeds), ginger, green chilies, whole coriander seeds and peas. Then add crushed boiled potatoes to the mixture.

Next, divide the dough into smaller portions and roll them into thin rotis. Cut each roti in half and moisten the edges with water to prevent them from opening while frying. Fill each half with one spoonful of the potato mixture, making sure not to overstuff.
