ISLAMABAD: Chairman of Pakistan’s Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani Saturday praised the services of outgoing Chinese Ambassador Nong Rong for taking Pak-China relations to new heights. He expressed these remarks on the sideline of a farewell dinner hosted in honor of the outgoing ambassador.
Both the dignitaries discussed important regional and international issues including bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.
Chairman Senate Sanjrani said that Pakistan-China’s close and long-lasting friendship is an example for the whole world and the time-tested friendship has always encountered challenges together.
The Chairman Senate said that the relations between the two friendly states are based on mutual respect and trust and China has always supported Pakistan in a difficult time.
Sanjrani calls CPEC a Gift from Chinese govt
He said that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project is a gift from the Republic of China to the people of Pakistan and also acknowledged the active and prompt contribution of China in the relief and rehabilitation phase during the recent floods in Pakistan.
He added that the Pakistani Nation will be grateful to the people and government of China for this generous support.
On the occasion, Chinese outgoing ambassador Nong Rong appreciated the comments of Senate Chairman Sanjrani and said that the government and people of China are also proud of their everlasting and evergreen friendship with Pakistan.
He added that China will continue to cooperate in the development of Pakistan and both countries will continue to assist each other’s position at regional and global forums.
