Sheikh Abdulrahman highlighted the significance of the Qatari-Saudi Coordination Council’s Culture, Tourism, and Entertainment Committee in reinforcing cultural ties. Recognizing cultural heritage as a crucial element in shaping public awareness, the ministers emphasized the positive impact of the new air route on bilateral relations.

The direct flights between AlUla and Doha, initiated in October, mark a strategic move to promote tourism and cultural exchanges between the two nations. AlUla, designated as an international airport in March 2021, has undergone substantial development to transform into a major logistics hub in northwestern Saudi Arabia. With expanded capacity and modernized facilities, AlUla International Airport is poised to accommodate increased international flights, fostering tourism and economic development in the region.
