RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has strongly denounced an attack by Israeli settlers on a Jordanian humanitarian aid convoy that was on its way to the besieged Gaza Strip on Tuesday.
The foreign ministry in a statement emphasized that the recurrence of such attacks is the result of the failure of Israeli occupation forces to carry out their obligations under international humanitarian law.

The Kingdom called on the international community to take all necessary measures to hold the Israeli occupation accountable for its violations of international law and international humanitarian law.
Additionally, the ministry also urged the international community to assume its responsibility with regard to protecting and securing the transit of aid convoys and ensuring their entry into the Gaza Strip, in a way that contributes to mitigate the severe humanitarian crisis there.
