Saudi Arabia’s Largest Food and Beverage Event Set to Transform Riyadh into Culinary Hub

RIYADH: Riyadh is poised to host InFlavour 2023, Saudi Arabia’s most significant Food and Beverage (F&B) event in terms of both scale and international acclaim, starting tomorrow at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Centre, Malham.

Organized by Tahaluf with the support of the Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water & Agriculture, the three-day event promises a bustling atmosphere with more than 40,000 attendees, 400 brands, 200 investors, and 200 speakers representing 143 countries, showcasing the nation’s thriving F&B sector.

InFlavour 2023 stands as a testament to Saudi Arabia’s rapidly evolving F&B industry, driven by mega tourism projects, the establishment of numerous hospitality outlets, a surge in entrepreneurial ventures, a locally-focused indigenous sector, and a growing export industry. The event aims to provide a platform for collaboration, emphasizing the importance of partnerships in accelerating breakthroughs within the industry.

Saudi Arabia’s Biggest B&F Event, InFlavour

Annabelle Mander, Senior Vice President of Tahaluf, expressed the significance of InFlavour 2023, highlighting its role in showcasing the industry’s passion for food. According to recent figures, the food industry in Saudi Arabia is valued at US$14.16 billion and is expected to reach US$34.04 billion by 2030.

The Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture (MEWA) has actively supported the food sector’s development, investing in the expansion of the poultry production sector with a plan amounting to SR 17 billion. MEWA has also introduced quality enhancement programs and labels, such as Organic, SAMAQ, Saudi Dates, and Saudi G.A.P, aimed at increasing market value, facilitating marketing and export opportunities, and ensuring product quality.

InFlavour 2023 will feature a lineup of culinary experts and master chefs conducting over 100 demonstrations and knowledge-sharing sessions. These sessions, addressing topics like Entrepreneurship Ecosystem in AgriTech and ESG in Promoting Food Security, Justice, and Sustainability, have been meticulously curated to raise awareness, stimulate discussions, attract investments, and drive change in the realm of food security.
