Saudi Authorities Arrest Three Turkish Nationals After Huge Drug Seizure in Jeddah

JEDDAH: The Saudi security authorities have confiscated 1,613,000 tablets of amphetamine, a potent narcotic, concealed within the cavities of iron equipment in a yard located in the Jeddah governorate. 

Three Turkish nationals were apprehended in connection with the handling of a huge cache of drugs. The accused were transferred to the competent authorities after completing the initial legal procedures.

The security authorities urged Saudi citizens and expatriates to report any suspicious activities related to drug smuggling or drug promotion, by calling over the phone numbers 911 in the regions of Riyadh, Makkah, and the Eastern Province and the phone number 999 in the rest of the regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

They can also inform the General Directorate of Narcotics Control over the phone at No.995 and through email at [email protected], the authorities stated, adding that all reports will be treated in a confidential manner.
