RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Culinary Arts Commission has revealed its participation in the prestigious international culinary exhibition, InFlavour Expo, set to take place from October 29 to 31 at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center.
Visitors to the exhibition will be treated to an array of traditional Saudi delicacies, including maqshush, Saudi coffee, and dates, offering a taste of the kingdom’s rich culinary heritage.
During the event, the commission plans to unveil its innovative strategy for the culinary arts sector. This strategy includes the introduction of a business incubator for the Kawn program, designed to support businesses and startups. The program will provide mentorship, workshops, and other resources, enabling participants to enter and compete in the market. The incubation period for participants will range from four to six months.
Saudi Commission Aims to Promote Vibrant Cultural Landscape
In addition to the Kawn program, the commission will showcase the Abde’a cultural license platform. This initiative aims to enhance private sector involvement in cultural events and initiatives, promoting a vibrant cultural landscape in the kingdom.
The commission’s participation in InFlavour Expo underscores its commitment to empowering Saudi chefs, fostering collaborations with renowned culinary experts worldwide, and highlighting the diverse and time-honored traditional recipes of Saudi cuisine.
InFlavour Expo is a prominent global event that brings together science, technology, art, business, hospitality, and cuisine. The expo attracts renowned Michelin-star chefs, industry leaders, global consumer brand representatives, and international luminaries.
The event is expected to host 40,000 visitors, feature over 200 speakers, showcase more than 600 exhibitors, and welcome over 200 international investors and venture capitalists specializing in the food and hospitality sector.
