Saudi Crown Prince Holds Meetings with World Leaders During WEF

RIYADH: Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud has met with international leaders on the sidelines of the special meeting of the World Economic Forum and discussed relations, regional and international developments, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Monday.

According to the SPA, the Saudi Crown Prince met with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and discussed bilateral cooperation, international and regional situation, foremost in the Gaza Strip.

They also talked about efforts exerted to stop military operations in the Gaza Strip and deal with their security and humanitarian repercussions.

The Crown Prince has also met with UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Affairs David Cameron, on the sidelines of the special meeting of the World Economic Forum.

The two sides reviewed relations and ways to develop them, cooperation, as well as regional developments, particularly the military escalation in Gaza, and the global efforts exerted in this regard.

Crown Prince Discusses Developments in Gaza with Mahmoud Abbas

Meanwhile, the Crown Prince separately met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) special meeting in Riyadh.

The two sides reviewed the military escalation and the worsening conditions in Gaza, which threaten the lives of civilians and the stability of the region.

The Crown Prince underscored the Kingdom’s efforts to engage with all global and regional parties to stop the ongoing escalation and prevent its spread in the region.

He also expressed Saudi Arabia’s strong ejection of forced displacement of Palestinians, as well as the Kingdom’s constant support for the Palestinians to achieve their legitimate right, fulfill their aspirations, and achieve a just and lasting peace.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud also met with Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim.

They discussed Saudi-Malaysian ties and opportunities to enhance them, as well as regional and international developments.
