He also discussed the signing of Financial Agreements worth US$ 107 million between SFD and the Government of Pakistan for the construction of Hydropower stations in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). These projects are not only aimed at providing clean energy but also at combating deforestation and creating job opportunities for the local population.

The CEO of SFD provided updates to the Prime Minister on ongoing projects funded by Saudi grants, including the Mohmand Multi-purpose Hydropower Project, Golan Gol Hydropower Project, and Malakand Regional Development Project.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the importance of expediting the processing of new projects in the field of green energy and infrastructure. Later, the Saudi Fund for Development also called on Ahad Khan Cheema, Minister for Economic Affairs. Minister Ahad Khan Cheema warmly welcomed the delegation and commended the efforts of SFD for providing financing in critical sectors such as Health, Energy, Infrastructure, and Education, as well as for their assistance during recent floods.

Sultan bin Abdul Rehman Al Marshad reiterated SFD’s commitment to continued support for Pakistan.
