Saudi King Directs Performing Absentee Funeral Prayer for Late Amir of Kuwait: SPA

MAKKAH: The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has directed the performance of the absentee funeral prayer for the late Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Saturday.

According to the SPA, the funeral prayer will take place on Sunday, after the Dhuhr prayer at both the Grand Holy Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah.

Earlier, the SPA reported that the Amiri Diwan of Kuwait has announced the demise of Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Saturday.

In a statement the Amiri Diwan said: “With deep grief and regret we announce the demise of Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, who passed away on Saturday, to the people Kuwait, the Arab and Muslim countries and to friendly countries. We deeply mourn his demise.”
