Saudi-Kuwait-US Joint Military Drill Concludes

HAFR AL-BATIN: The 2nd mixed land exercise, ‘Arabian Gulf Shooting 2023’, concluded on Thursday in the northern region in Hafar Al Batin, with the participation of the Royal Saudi Land Forces, the Kuwaiti Land Force and the US Task Force Spartan, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

According to the SPA Commander of the Royal Saudi Land Forces Lieutenant General Fahd Al-Mutair, Commanding General of United States Army Central Lieutenant General Patrick D. Frank, and Kuwait Land Force Commander General Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Suwait attended the conclusion of the military drills.

Exercise aimed at boosting military ties

The exercise was aimed at boosting military ties and defense cooperation with other countries, exchanging military expertise and knowledge, and upgrading combat readiness in the joint operational environment.

The commander of the exercise, Brigadier General Mohamed bin Nasser Al-Badrani, said that the exercise included practical field training and lectures and with the aim of standardizing concepts on planning, training and implementing joint ground operations in order to achieve coherence in participating units.

He said that the participating countries had carried out hypotheses and training on planning, execution and tactical shooting for armored and mechanized infantry units, irregular warfare operations, evacuation of injured people on battlefields, helicopters, sniper tactics, and dismantling explosives.
