SC Expresses Annoyance over Faizabad Commission Report

ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa has expressed his displeasure over the Faizabad inquiry commission report and remarked that the commission’s work was to conduct a probe which it did not.

“I am unable to understand what kind of report this is,” the Chief Justice of Pakistan gave these remarks while hearing the Faizabad sit-in review case at the head of a three-member bench, which comprises Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Justice Irfan Saadat Khan.

During the hearing, the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) expressed his displeasure over the report submitted on Sunday by the inquiry commission. The Attorney General’s Office had submitted the to the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

On the occasion, the attorney general had informed the court that head of the inquiry commission was here. If the Supreme Court of Pakistan has any question related to the report, it can be put to him.

CJ Qazi Faez Isa observed that it was the job of the commission to document events and evidences. The commission also made 33 suggestions along with the conclusion.
