ISLAMABAD: The management of the Pakistan Street Child Football Team has announced that countrywide trials will be conducted from February 24 to March 9 to select players for Norway Cup.
The trials are scheduled to take place in different cities, including Lahore, Karachi, Quetta, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Kohat, Nowshera, and Mirpur Azad Kashmir, a press statement said.
The main objective of this initiative is to identify exceptional talent from all regions of Pakistan for the upcoming Norway Cup 2024.
Schedule for Street Child Football Team Trials Announced
The Norway Cup, renowned as one of the premier youth football tournaments worldwide, eagerly awaits teams from across the globe to participate. The event will be held from July 27 to August 3 in Oslo, Norway.
Having previously participated in the Norway Cup thrice, the Pakistan Street Child Football Team has shown commendable progress over the years. They reached the quarterfinals in 2014 and secured the runner-up position in both 2016 and 2023 editions of the tournament.
The upcoming trials across the country aim to provide talented young footballers across Pakistan with an opportunity to showcase their skills on an international stage and uphold the legacy of the Pakistan Street Child Football Team. —APP
