Shehbaz Directs to Leave no Stone Unturned for Providing Relief to Flood-Affected People of Balochistan

QUETTA: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has issued directives to the authorities concerned to take solid steps to rescue and provide relief to the flood-hit people in Gwadar, Balochistan.

Talking to the flood-hit people during his maiden trip to the area after assumption of the office of Prime Minister, he said the Federal government will make effort to utilize all available resources to help people of Balochistan, hit by rains and floods.

He also distributed relief goods among the flood-hit people in the area. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was also given a briefing on the occasion.

Earlier, newly elected Chief Minister Balochistan Sarfraz Bugti has also constituted a committee to assess the damage caused by recent heavy rains and floods in Gwadar, Balochistan. As per media reports, the committee will submit its initial reports to the Chief Minister of the province in 20 days.

Bugti also visited Gwadar on Sunday directed the local official to complete the dewatering process in 24 hours and provide maximum relief to the rain-hit people in the area.
