LAHORE: Social media in Pakistan is rife with images and videos from the wedding celebrations of the country’s brave cop, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Shehrbano Naqvi, who has just entered wedlock with her fiancé Ashtar Naqvi.
She rose to the ladder of fame last year, owing to her valiance and brave acts of saving a woman from a mob in Lahore’s Achhra Market and remained in the headlines for her bravery.
Photographs and videos from Shehrbano’s mehndi ceremony were shared on Instagram by a professional photographer and the makeup artist involved in the event. She looked glowing in a heavily embellished yellow lehnga and choli adorned with touches of red, green, and peach.
Additionally, a video from her baraat ceremony showcased Shehrbano in a traditional Pakistani bridal attire, exuding timeless elegance in a red dress paired with golden jewellery and embellishments.
Subsequently, snapshots from Shehrbano and Ashtar’s valima were compiled into a video and shared by the same photographer who covered the mehndi event. For the valima, Shehrbano opted for a stylish golden-beige lehenga with understated silver crystal jewellery.
In February, ASP Shehrbano, serving as the sub-divisional police officer at Gulbarg, Lahore, led a Punjab police team in rescuing a woman surrounded by a mob.
