LONDON: On the occasion of India’s Republic Day, Sikh separatists and members of Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) participated in a protest demonstration in large numbers in London.
The protesters reiterated their demand for independence of Punjab and chanted slogans against the policies of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Param Jeet Singh Puma, leader of the Sikhs for Justice, said that Sikhs are facing injustice and barbarities at the hands of Indian government in the country.
Indian Sikhs’ freedom struggle
Speaking to media, he said that Sikhs had started their freedom movement shortly after the independence of India.
He reiterated that they will continue their fight against the injustices of the Modi regime and will achieve independence.
