Sindhi Cultural Day Celebrated at PNCA with Pledge to Promote Cultural Harmony

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA) was transformed into a vibrant hub of cultural festivities on Sunday as it hosted the Sindhi Cultural Day celebrations. The event, dedicated to showcasing Sindhi heritage, resonated with the essence of cultural harmony and women’s empowerment.

The gathering was presided over by Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Madad Ali Sindhi, with Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi gracing the occasion as the chief guest, adding significance to the cultural program.

Focusing on the theme of promoting cultural harmony, the event highlighted the pivotal roles of women in addressing global warming and emphasized the empowerment of women across diverse backgrounds.

The festivities featured captivating tableaus and insightful panel discussions, providing a visual and intellectual journey into the rich tapestry of Sindhi culture. Crucial topics such as cultural harmony, peace, women’s roles in climate change, and gender equality through empowerment took center stage.

Gulnaz Sheikh, the founder of Soormiyun, took the opportunity to underscore the enduring impact of such cultural programs. Grounded in Sufi traditions, she highlighted Soormiyun’s commitment to spreading messages of cultural diversity, love, peace, and gender equality within cultural values, particularly by empowering women.

The celebrations not only showcased the cultural richness of Sindh but also reflected a collective commitment to building a society marked by inclusivity and the empowerment of women.
