SNGPL Allows CNG Stations to Resume Gas Supply

ISLAMABAD: Sui Northern Gas Pipelines (SNGPL), after negotiation with officials of the CNG Association, restored gas supply for the vehicles in most parts of the northern regions, including Peshawar and Hazara regions, after a month-long load management plan from 1st of February 2023.

CNG Association’s representatives from Peshawar and Hazara assured that the curtailment of gas to the CNG sector as and when advised by the SNGPL would be maintained, keeping in view the demand and supply gap in the best possible public interest at large.

CNG Stations to Resume Gas Supply

As per the notification issued by the SNGPL Regional Office Abbottabad here Tuesday, the curtailment schedule, which was released on December 2022, ended on 31st January, and CNG stations have been restored and will become operational. The same procedure will be followed for Peshawar and other areas in the northern region.

 It was further mentioned in the notification that, keeping because of demand and supply and if necessary, a gap curtailment schedule will be shared and will be communicated with all relevant stakeholders through district management.

It is worth noting here that drivers and CNG station owners have been demanding resuming of the gas supply for the last couple of weeks and are now pleased to know about the decision.
